Halloween 09
Well the nights are getting longer, days are getting colder and George is soo close to finishing the new lp it hurts. Watch this space for more news on this as it happens. Also – and completely out of the blue – George has been nominated for best dressed musician along with Calvin Harris, Biffy Clyro, Glasvegas, Codeine Velvet Club and The Aliens at this year’s Scottish Style Awards. You couldn’t make it up. Click on the picture to see. Also in the nominees list for scottish fashion goddess is George's long time muse Laura Lees. Laura embroidered the sleeve for "Boomtown Medallion" and is in the process of designing and embroidering the sleeve for George's new lp.
September News
As of this month George has been taken under the wing of the fabulous Tummy Touch Music Group. Home to the likes of Tim 'Love' Lee, Crazy Girl, The Phenomenal Handclap Band not forgetting Tom Vek and even, once upon a time, Groove Armada, this, is very good news indeed. Watch this space.
Summer 09
Summer's begun with Georges third show for Diesel U Music Radio with guests Dot Allison (One Dove, Babyshambles) and Fred Deakin (Lemon Jelly). Recording of new material is under way throughout July for George’s second LP for August Day and his collaboration with Chicken Lip’s Stevie Kotey is set for release on Bear Funk Recordings around November.

Spring 09
Spring's sprung and George has been enjoying the pace whilst spending a little time in the studio playing guitar for Riz Maslen (a.k.a. Neotropic) on her forthcoming lp “Equestrienne”. Writing with Roy Brown for their joint project is in full flow and two of Georges vintage podcasts have been uploaded to Jellycast as a precursor to two brand spanking new ones in June and July. More album and collaboration news afoot in the next few months and exclusive demo’s of new material to be uploaded here in June.
January 09

A fine start to the new year with the release of the video for George's "How Life Is...". Filmed and animated by Johnnie Lyle (Scratch UK), you can see a preview of this fantastic featurette in the video section here. More collaberations afoot with Riz Maslen (Neotropic), Roy Brown (This Is War) as well as the usual live appearances, the first of which is with Flash Atkins next month in Shoreditch, London.
November/December News
As well as working with Ashley Beedle on a track for Ashley’s new project, George has recorded a duet with Anne from Coco Electrik. The track “On The Tip Of My Tongue” will appear on Coco Electriks new album next year and apparently it sounds incredible, like Lee Hazlewood meets Marlene Dietrich in the 25th Century . Nice!
George is also close to completing some new material with wunderkind producer Marcas Lancaster (see Soft Cell Remix LP). The boys are recording proper versions of some of this years’ live favourites, including ‘Dress Me Up’, ‘Mrs Jones’ and the insanely catchy ‘Liza, Do You Dream Of Me?’.
And finally, as if that wasn’t enough, the new video for George’s haunting electro ballad “How Life Is...” is close to completion after initial filming and will be released in January 09. DJ, graffiti and pop artist, filmmaker and general man about town Jonnie Lyle (Scratch, UK) is behind the video and it's promising to be another quirky masterpiece. Watch this space...
